| The NVYA Youth Advisory Group |
| |
|
What
we do
The NVYA Youth Advisory Group are a troop of young people who
get together once every 3 months (except in emergencies) in
order to discuss new issues arising in the NVYA World! Things
we discuss
We discuss a different range of issues, problems, celebrations
and opportunities in the meetings, some of which change and
others that are discussed at every meeting. |
| |
The conversation ranges from
the Above and Beyond Awards (at every meeting), to the new name
for millennium volunteers, to what is a Trustee and who would
like to be on the trustee board, to Funding applications!
Are there any trips involved
We have an annual trip to The Ranch in Wales. It is just up
the hill from Cardigan Bay and has some fantastic activities
to get involved in! We have a tradition in that we get to enjoy
the best fish and chips in Llanbedr when we get there and then
during the rest of the three days we take part in exciting activities
such as circus skills, a night walk, initiative skills, archery,
search and rescue and we all get involved in a fantastically
fun beach barbeque where we play games, eat ourselves silly
and have a great end to the trip! The trip helps the group to
gel together and get to know each other, giving us the time
to work together as a group, have fun and get competitive with
each other in the activities! |
