| What our Volunteers have to say |
| |
| Ronnika, 17 - Part-time volunteer
|
| |
| I am setting up a street dance project in
Wellingborough for young people who are aged between 10 and
18. The main reason I am doing this is to provide an opportunity
for young people from different backgrounds to come together
through the medium of dance and music in a safe place. Managing
this project has given me a real interest in being a social
worker and I have gained loads of confidence. |

| Alex 23, - Part-time youth
worker |
| |
I hoped to be able to gain experience
in youth development through my volunteering and wanted to
ut something back into my community. I supported young people
to organise a music festival in Kettering and through my commitment
gained a job as a youth worker. |

| Jonathan 22, - Part-time music
teacher |
| |
| I became a volunteer because I was already
working with young people to help them develop their music skills.
I wanted to gain some experience as I want to be a music teacher.
I really enjoyed my volunteering at Music Works and felt that
I was able to pass on my knowledge and experience. I like seeing
other people enjoy themselves. |
